Official: Burnham-on-Crouch Chamber of Commerce

Summary
Another fantastic evening courtesy of the BOC Chamber of Commerce.
The chamber works hard to deliver local businesses access to advice and support covering important subjects and tonight was no different. We were lucky enough to have David Gibb from Essex Police deliver an informative presentation regarding cyber security. It’s amazing how many little things we can all do to protect ourselves. We shall ensure information from tonight’s event is loaded into the members only area of our website so that our members that couldn’t make tonight have access to the help and support advice.
We kicked off the evening with a small celebration and huge congratulations to our chambers very own Executive member Wendy Stamp and her recent appointment as BTC Mayor. Wendy is a highly valued member of our Chamber Team and we are all super proud of her and all her efforts for the Town and look forward to her reign as Mayor. Well done Wendy.
Another special thanks to Fiona Clegg and her guest appearance at tonight’s event and keeping us all informed about the ever special Quay Day event. We as a chamber look forward to getting on board with Quay Day and helping support Fiona and all her efforts to help make the day a huge success. We shall post more information regarding Quay day on our website as and when we have the finalised details.
Member Chris Hall also said a few words about his Business IT.ally and what they offer with regards to cyber security and offered chamber members a very special discount on his services, more information regarding these offers will be posted on our website in due course.
I would also like to thank Executive members Misha & Carole who sadly couldn’t be with us this evening but that carried out promotional works and delivering flyers prior to the event.
Huge thanks also to Executive member Heidi Turnbull from MDC for yet again pulling out all the stops and helping with everything from promotion, organising speakers,
printing and arriving early to set up all the way through to leaving last and packing away!!
Thanks also to Executive members Mayor Wendy Stamp, Helen Quinnell and Tom Vernau for supporting our event once again and coming along as well as assisting with the promotion and set up of the event.
We also know poorly Teresa and Paul who was tied up at another engagement, were with us in spirit and thank them also for their efforts and support leading up to the event.
We couldn’t run the chamber as successfully as we do without the continued support of our valued Executive members.
The venue was as stunning as ever and we thank The Royal Corinthian Yacht Club once again for their kind hospitality.
REMINDER: please join our chamber and be a part of the good we are trying to achieve for small local businesses.
